DREAM Act (2010)
Educational Equality and Immigrants' Rights
DREAM Act (2010), aka the Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors Act) is legislation for undocumented youth who arrived in the country as minors and meet certain requirements to have an opportunity to enlist in the military, or attend college as a resident, and have a path to citizenship. Although never federally enacted, California did pass a state version in 2011. (AIC)
